Vilnius University, founded in 1579, is the oldest and largest higher educational institution of Lithuania and a large scientific center as well.
The university comprises 12 faculties, 7 institutes, 4 interfaculty centers of science and education and also a library, which is the oldest in Lithuania; a botanical garden, the museum of the university and other non-academic sections. Also, comfortable hostels for students and sports centers are provided.
Vilnius University provides education for more than 22,000 students. The academic faculty includes 1334 people, among them 256 professors, 451 associate professors, 448 research associates.
The university is the only higher educational institution of Lithuania and the Baltic countries entering world rankings. Also, Vilnius University actively develops international cooperation and implements joint educational programs with universities of Australia, Austria, Belgium, China, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, India, Italy, Ireland, Japan, South Korea, Norway, Russia, Spain, Sweden, USA, the UK etc.
Within cooperation with Vilnius University several Faculty of Humanities students spent one semester in Lithuania under the ‘Erasmus+’ program. Also, both universities hosted reps of the partner’s faculty that gave lectures and held workshops. In 2016 the representatives of Minin University participated in an internship under Erasmus Staff Training Week in Vilnius.
Russian Armenian University, founded in 1997, is a higher educational institution in Yerevan which works under the international treaty between Russia and Armenia. The university has been accredited in both countries; upon graduation students receive two diplomas: Armenian and Russian.
The university sets the objective to train experts of high qualification and level of knowledge which would meet the requirements of the XXIst century. Continuous work on creating research schools, developing international cooperation with the leading Russian and foreign educational institutions is performed.
The university implements educational programs in journalism, foreign languages and regional studies, medicine and biology, political science, applied mathematics and computer science, psychology, tourism and advertizing, philology, economy, law.
One of the University’ priorities of is the development of international cooperation aimed at integrating into the global educational and scientific space. The university signed MOUs with 60+ leading higher education institutions both in Russia and abroad.
In 2015 an MOU between Minin University and Russian-Armenian University was signed. It includes an opportunity of short-term and long-term academic mobility programs for undergraduate and graduate students; exchange of scientific information and research publications, informing of partners on the planned scientific, educational and cultural events; joint conferences, seminars etc.
European Regional Educational Academy was created under MOUs with the governments of France, Italy, Germany and Republic of Armenia for the purpose of implementing advanced educational practice, modern, innovative programs and the European standards of education quality.
The university has successful experience of a transferring modern educational technologies to Armenia. Educational programs, curricula and the training system were developed with participation of experts from Technical University of Berlin and Université de la Méditerranée Aix-Marseille II.
The university has a widely developed network of the international cooperation, implementing joint programs with higher education institutions of Great Britain, Germany, Russia etc.
In September, 2016 an MOU between Minin University and the European Regional Educational Academy was signed. We plan to run symposiums, seminars, conferences and implementing joint research programs.
