Translation of documents into Russian and their notarization
The package of documents for admission or transfer to Minin University, which a foreign applicant / student provides to the university, ALWAYS includes:
- an identity document or other document established by federal law or recognized in accordance with an international treaty of the Russian Federation as an identity document of a foreign citizen or a stateless person,
- documents on the completed education and/or qualifications awarded,
- transcript for the entire period of study.
Depending on the status of a foreign applicant / student, as well as if you or your parents changed your surname / first name / patronymic, you may also need to attach to the above documents:
- documents confirming the status of a compatriot
- documents confirming the change of name or surname (certificates of change of surname, affidavits or other documents similar in function).
REQUIREMENTS FOR DOCUMENT TRANSLATIONS
What kind of document should be translated into Russian? |
A document is subject to translation if the entire text or any of its elements, including stamps, consular legalization forms or apostilles, are not made in Russian and/or are not duplicated in full in Russian. |

Can translations certified by a foreign notary be accepted? |
Translations certified by a foreign notary are accepted only from those countries that have relevant agreements on legal assistance with the Russian Federation. In this case, legalization is not required. !!! Please note: the translation of documents made in the territory of a foreign state that has NO relevant agreements on legal assistance with the Russian Federation must be certified at the consular institution of the Russian Federation in the territory of the country where the document was issued. |

All the above-mentioned parts of the set must be bound/sewn together by a notary. The place of binding/sewing is fixed / closed with a special sticker. This action is also performed by a notary. DO NOT bind a notarized translation of the document to its original! |
