It begins with developing skills of attention, visual and acoustical perception (recognition and distinction), memory, thinking, e general and fine motor skills with children. Lacking these skills makes it impossible to adjust to the educational process. Tasks of the speech therapy specialist include extension and enrichment of vocabulary, development of the coherent speech and spelling training, correction of grammar mistakes. Apart from the corrective techniques, the speech therapy specialist is familiar with fundamentals of neuropathology, psychopathology, pathology of hearing and speech system.
