Institute of theology named after Saints Mefodiy and Kirill of Belarusian State University was created in October, 2004 as legally independent structural division of the leading higher educational institution of the republic. The main objective of activity of Institute of theology of BGU is training of highly qualified specialists in the field of philosophical anthropology, theology and religious studies.
The Institute trains experts of the first step of the higher education in "Theology" and the second step of the higher education (master's degree studies in "Religious studies, philosophical anthropology, and culture philosophy". The educational program provides studying by students of the following cycles of disciplines: humanitarian, philological, psychology and pedagogical, theological and theological training.
In April, 2017 the Contract on cooperation between Minin University and Institute of theology named after Saints Mefodiy and Kirill was signed. Within cooperation rendering of advisory assistance is implemented. The staff of the universities participates in the international conferences organized by partner higher education institution. Also, there are plans to publish the research results in publications of both educational structures, and to organize and carry out joint educational and scientific projects.
