On December 7, 2019, Minin University hosted a meeting with the Minister Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Russian Federation, Mr. Lee Jin-Hyun.
Within the framework of the meeting, issues of cooperation with the Department of Geography, Geographical and Geo-Ecological Education of Minin University and with the Russian Geographical Society in the Nizhny Novgorod region in the field of development of geographical education of the two countries, as well as issues of organization and holding of joint events dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the discovery of the Antarctica by Bellinshausen and Lazarev, as well as 175th anniversary of the establishment of the Russian Geographical Society.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to prepare a program for the development of mutual cooperation in the field of geographical and pedagogical education. International projects carried out by Minin University aroused great interest as well as the summer schools for students and the academic staff.
The Minister Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Russian Federation Mr. Lee Jin-Hyun expressed a desire to organize a meeting between representatives of universities of the Republic of Korea and the authorities of Minin University.
