Today, August 5, an opening ceremony was held at Minin University to give a start to training courses for Chinese teachers and students who came from Anhui Normal University (ANU) to exchange experiences.
This time Minin University organizes advanced training courses for teachers and a summer school for students of Anhui Normal University.
Rector of Minin University Alexander Fedorov thanked his colleagues for the visit and fruitful cooperation between universities:
"Our cooperation has been going on for 5 years, and every year it's getting stronger. Something that seemed impossible earlier is an element of everyday cooperation now. We have a common development program: we exchange teachers, students. During 10 days of advanced training we will show you how the education system in Russia is developing, we will exchange experience, find new ways of cooperation and jointly explore what is important for teacher education in the global educational agenda. We will show you all aspects of the activities of educational organizations in Russia, both in Nizhny Novgorod and Moscow."
The representatives of the Chinese delegation made a return reply and thanked Minin University for the warm welcome and the opportunity to exchange experiences in one of the most prestigious pedagogical universities in Russia. Head of Teachers' Delegation of Anhui Normal University Ms Zhao Huaijuan:
“Russia is known to develop the system of higher education very rapidly, especially in the sphere of education management. The experience of Russia has an influence on the development of Chinese higher education. Minin University is famous for training pedagogical staff, and has been awarded many times. A group of our teachers would like to learn the principles of organization and management in the field of higher education, the system of evaluation and quality of pedagogical education and management of the educational process, as well as the models and specifics of the training of a modern teacher. "
The meeting was followed by the concert of Minin University students. They performed the song "Stariy klyon", as well as the song that sounded at the opening of the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008.
After the official opening ceremony, which ended with a group photo, rector of Minin University Alexander Fedorov launched a series of lectures for Chinese teachers:
"We have already gained obvious achievements with ANU. We believe that the implementation of our joint project is a significant contribution to the intercultural cooperation between Russia and China. Global education will help our universities to occupy a worthy place in the system of higher pedagogical education of the world. The overall goal of the lectures is profound understanding of how the Russian education system works in three dimensions: content, organization of management and logistics, personal contribution of the teacher and student to the educational process."
Rector of Minin University gave a lecture "The Russian higher education in the world educational process: key challenges and solutions (2016-2025 )", in which he told the guests of how the education system has changed in Russia since the collapse of the USSR, and what the prospects are for the future. In addition, Alexander Fedorov defined the place of Minin University in the system of higher education in Russia now.
"Minin University is implementing the development strategy until 2023 coordinated with the Ministry of Education and Science and is currently undergoing serious changes. The first stage of the program is completed: we have completed the formation of an educational quality platform that has made it possible to meet the international quality standards of education and create new ones. It consists of 12 strategic initiatives”.
During the lectures, Chinese teachers will learn about how these strategies are being implemented in the partner organizations of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
At the same time, students of Anhui Normal University and Minin University had the first joint lessons of the Chinese and Russian languages.
Students and teachers from ANU are planning more meetings, trips, excursions, master classes and competitions. Chinese visitors are expected not only to study classes, but also to have excursions to educational institutions in Nizhny Novgorod and the region. The delegation plans to attend gymnasium No. 67, the Children's Recreation and Education Center" Zvezdochka", make excursions to historical places, museums, theaters of the city and the region, take part in master classes in Russian culture, sports competitions between Russian and Chinese students.
During the course of professional development, the teachers of Minin University will tell their Chinese colleagues about the Russian system of education, modernization of pedagogical education, innovative pedagogical developments of Minin University. This is already the fourth course for Anhui Normal University. This means that the previous courses were highly appreciated by Chinese partners.
