We are very glad that you are with us! Please tell us about your decision to teach in Minin University, share your plans.
Cao Chunhua, the teacher from Anhui Normal University (ANU):
I visited Minin University in 2014 within the Summer school for students from Anhui Normal University. I should note that it was only the beginning of the program, and I was among the first students from China who took part in this program. After I had finished magistracy in Kazan Federal University, my specialty was Television Journalism, I returned to ANU where I learned about an opportunity to work in Minin University. I am already well familiar with your University, so I made a decision to teach here for 2 terms. In ANU I taught Chinese for foreign students and Russian for the Chinese students.
Xu Haoyang , Bachelor from the Shandong Polytechnical university:
Our University is a partner of Minin University. I am here for the first time. I arrived right after obtaining the bachelor's degree to teach Chinese. I like working as a teacher and I am also happy to tell people more about China, about the culture of the country and about its language. I don't speak Russian very well, so my students are here those who speak Chinese and who have studied in China. When I was in the fourth year, we had teaching practice with Minin University students where I taught Chinese. I am happy to note that they proved to be very determined students. I was inspired that level of Chinese is very high. The students are diligent! As a result they passed Chinese exams successfully obtaining HSK-Level 4 which is the fourth level and it means "above an average". They had been studying Chinese for only a year by that time but usually students reach such a level in two years of a learning a foreign language.
What made you interested in Russian culture?
Xu Haoyang: I practiced music. The Russian music is known all over the world, and it is interesting to me to visit Russia and to make an insight into culture and traditions of Russia. Also I want to study the Russian culture and Russian over time to teach Chinese to Russian-speaking people as much as possible
Cao Chunhua: It has been the eighth year since I started learning Russian (my specialty in ANU was "Russian and literature"). Also I am fond of history of Russia, since ancient time to modern history. Russian cuisine, literature, national suits are pleasant.
The Lessons in Minin University have already begun. What are impressions of the first lessons?
Xu Haoyang: I have two groups. My lessons are based on dialogue; I consider that it is effective and not dull. My students have already studied in China; they have a very high level of training
Cao Chunhua: my students haven't studied in China, their level is lower, but they really have potential, I believe in them and I see that they are very interested in studying Chinese and the culture of China. Except Chinese we will tell about the culture of China. Language is a part of culture. Besides lectures we will hold master classes in calligraphy and the paper cutout.
We wish success to you!
