A new issue of QS WOWNEWS has come out. The journal is published four times a year by QS Asia-the regional branch of QS Quacquarelli Symonds, the founder of QS ratings. The new edition includes an article about the national Portal of inclusive education, which is developed and being implemented by Minin University, on commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia. You can find the latest issue here (see p.35).
The portal of inclusive education is created within the framework of the state contract for the development of higher education for people with disabilities. Minin University won the right to implement the state contract.
The portal was created to provide higher inclusive education for disabled people with information and methodological support to the processes. This is an open Internet resource developed for several groups of users: students, educational organizations, regional educational and methodological centers and the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia.
The main group that is aimed at – is, certainly, students. They will primarily be interested in the navigator for choosing an educational program. The search for the most suitable programs is based on three principles:
- territorial, where the applicant studies the possibilities of enrolment, depending on the preferred region,
- basing on created conditions for the training on a particular program,
- depending on the type of nosology and based on the wishes of the applicant for the future profession.
An entrant will also have an opportunity to learn about career guidance activities of higher education institutions, conducted specifically for people with disabilities.
