During the visit of the Chinese delegation, Ny Sisia, Chief Officer of the Student Affairs Department of the Law Faculty of Shandong Polytechnic University, invited the teachers and students of Minin University to take part in an international conference on the legal matters in China within the framework of the program “One Belt and One Road” (“Silk Road”).

Students from Shandong Polytechnic University studied the history of Russia, the basics of Russian law and the structure of government for 10 days. Excursions to museums in Nizhny Novgorod and the region were also organized.

The Law school is organized under the current agreement of the Minin University with Shandong Polytechnic University, which was signed in 2017. Last year, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, together with the Vice-Rector of the University of China, visited Minin University and made more detailed plans. Within the framework of the law school, Minin University has planned many lessons in which Russian students, together with Chinese students, interacted and communicated, which increased their communication skills.

“Having arrived in Nizhny Novgorod, I got some experience of participating in social relations, I learned about the city and the whole country. For me, these are new impressions; the history and culture of Russia have made a profound impression on me. Minin University is growing and expanding, various programs and areas are growing, including international cooperation. It testifies to the fact that the university has great prospects. ”
The Chinese partners are planning to consider all options for cooperation with Minin University, to work out joint plans for the further development of our cooperation: in particular, increasing the duration of the undergraduate students program at Minin University, short-term and long-term exchange programs for teachers, master degree students exchange to conduct joint research.

Within the framework of the visit of Chinese delegation the Chief Officer of the Student Affairs Department of the Law Faculty of Shandong Polytechnic University Ny Sisia invited the teachers and students of Minin University to take part in an international conference on the legal matters in China within the framework of the program “One Belt and One Road” (“Silk Road” ):

“Minin University is the only university that will represent the Russian side at the conference on legal foundations, within the framework of which the issues of legal personnel training will be discussed with the aim to carry out the program “One Belt and One Road (Silk Road). This is an opportunity for teachers of Minin University to promote their research in the field of law education at an international level”

This conference will give participants the opportunity to explore the current and potential opportunities and challenges facing legal education. The symposium will arrange reports according to the theses and abstracts submitted by experts. The selected ones will be recommended and published in some related publications. There is no limitation about the number of words, but the language of thesis needs to be English.

Any proposals relating to the futures of legal education will be considered, and the main themes could include:

  • International Cooperation on Legal Education
  • Clinical Legal Education
  • “The Belt and Road” and Legal Education
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Legal Education
  • Social Governance and Legal Education

In June 2017, Minin University and Shandong Polytechnic University concluded a bilateral agreement on cooperation and cultural and educational exchanges. There are 3 projects within the framework of cooperation:

  • The program of “inclusive training”:
    Since then 28 Minin University students have had training in Shandong Polytechnic University . The program assumes having education in the partner university during one academic year to acquire competences of the standard educational program, as well as advanced curriculum in Chinese, literature, culture and traditions of China.
  • Long-term teachers exchange:

Chinese language teacher Xu Haoyang has been teaching Chinese language and culture to the students of Humanities Department for 2 semesters.

  • short-term internship program for teachers of Minin University

As part of a cooperation agreement with Shandong Pedagogical University, the Chinese language teacher at the Minin University, Zinina AM took part in a short-term internship program held at the base of Shandong Polytechnic University in October 2018г. For 10 days, Anastasia Mikhailovna adopted the experience of Chinese colleagues and got acquainted with new methods and technologies of teaching a foreign language.
