Medical examination, fingerprinting and photographing

These procedures are obligatory for all foreign citizens and are stiputated by the current legislation of the Russian Federation feffective as of December 29, 2021. These procedures are subject to strict time limits: they must be completed within 90 days from the date of crossing the border of the Russian Federation. The time limits for these procedures must be respected!

This procedure can be divided into 3 stages:

- obtaining a health insurance policy

- undergoing a medical examination

- passing the procedure of photographing and fingerprinting.

 

Failure to pass these procedures entails:

1. Reduction of the period of stay in the Russian Federation.

2. Dismissal from the university.

3. Requirement to leave the territory of the Russian Federation.

The medical examination procedure must be carried out STRICTLY in certified medical institutions determined by the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The addresses of such organizations, as well as a list of necessary documents are listed  in the instruction on the submission 2.3 (2) https://disk.yandex.ru/i/xLAxEjbtmI6rhQ of documents to the Department of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

Students who have a voluntary health insurance policy issued at the Center for Work with Foreign Citizens undergo a medical examination free of charge at 2 Reshetnikovskaya St. (foreign citizens living in Russia are required to have a health insurance policy pursuant to Clause 5 of Article 27 of Federal Law No. 114-FZ of 15.08.1996)

Students who have passed all the required procedures and  who have received the document confirming this fact ( a plastic card) at the Department of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Nizhny Novgorod region should report this to the International Students Office
