On October 27, 2018, a seminar on the topic “Formation of linguoculturological competence in classes on the topic of “Seasons” (winter)” was held by Elena Markovna Dzyuba, a professor at the Department of Russian and Foreign Philology. The event is part of a series of seminars for teachers of Russian as a foreign language. The organizer is the Representation of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Hungarian Republic (Budapest). The seminar was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Associate Professor Olga Alekseevna Orlova.

During the four-hour seminar, participants considered the possibilities of working with foreign students on the topic “Winter”, used adapted journalistic texts, as well as authentic texts from Russian classics, which allow revealing the national specificity of the verbal image.
During the seminar, audiovisual tools (fragments of cinema and animated films, pictorial canvases and musical themes) were used, allowing not only the actualization of various forms and levels of communication in the class, but also the creation of conditions for the formation and development of the students’ dialogical personality. In the presentation of the seminar materials, modern methods of work on the RCT lesson were presented: the creation of a cluster, a mental map.
During the meeting with the Hungarian audience, emphasis was placed on the Russia-Hungary intercultural dialogue, which was reflected in the selection of didactic material.
The content and problems of the lesson were met by the audience in Budapest with interested attention. The seminar was attended by university teachers from Budapest, Hungarian and Russian teachers, as well as regular guests of the seminar from Slovakia. The seminar was held online, and materials will be presented on the Rossotrudnichestvo website. Of note is the desire of the Hungarian side to actively cooperate in the field of teaching Russian as a foreign language, as well as the relevance of Russian RCT teachers in universities in modern Hungary.
