It is the fifth year when the Minin university conducts advanced training courses for teachers from China. This time, following the tradition, the representatives from Anhui Normal University had an intensive business and cultural program. Within the courses teachers have learned in more detail about the Russian higher and secondary education, history of pedagogical education, projects of Minin university, features of the organization of educational process and electronic resources of a higher education institution. The Chinese teachers in particular appreciated the lectures of the rector of Minin University Alexander Fedorov about Russian education and the lecture of the head of e- Education Department Olga Prokhorova about electronic resources of Minin University: the colleagues saw in the lecture about Moodle the prospects of further cooperation on this subject.The teachers from China are planning to consider the problem of combining all ANU electronic resources .
The program of advanced training courses also included a visit of the Nizhny Novgorod Yarmarka, the Kremlin, Rukavishnikov Estate, the museum apartment of M. Gorky and also the town of Gorodets and Semyonov and other sights of the region.
At the beginning of the official training closing Galina Paputkova, the acting rector of Minin University, the vice rector for educational and methodical activity, Doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor, noted that the Universities have been exchanging experience for five years, she assured the audience that the interaction would remain fruitful and effective:
"The results of professional training which you have received here will be perhaps introduced in ANU, and you will have warm memories of our team and of our city!"
The head of delegation of the Anhui Normal University, deputy dean of institute of history and social sciences, professor Zhao Huaijuan in response added that listening to lectures of specialists of the Minin University, the representatives from China learned a lot of things about the system of the higher education in Russia and also about country history:
It was interesting to study the work of educational institutions, to get acquainted with their goals and objectives, to estimate the achievements of Russian education. We have learned a lot of things about the organization of educational process at the Minin University: about the curriculum, about history of higher education of the institution, about its achievements. The knowledge gained here are very useful to us therefore we will surely put them into practice.
We thank the staff of the university. Thanks to your attentiveness and care, we felt at home. We hope that our cooperation will be so nice and deep as the well-known Volga landscapes.
The Chairman of the Committee of the international relations of Nizhny Novgorod administration Elena Mishina emphasized that the educational projects of the Nizhny Novgorod higher education institutions with their foreign partners are an important part of development of Nizhny Novgorod international relations:
It is especially nice when starting with studens exchanges, the cooperation of higher education institutions comes to new level. You share experience with the colleagues, you adopt interesting aspects from their experience. It enriches your professionalism. Minin University projects with ANU are striking examples of how two higher education institutions can harmoniously work and go in one professional direction. I consider this project to be one an example to follow.
Earlier within the framework of advanced training courses, the teachers met Ms Mishina where they learned more information about the region, its history, industry, and the Chinese companies operating in Nizhny Novgorod.
At the ceremony, teachers from ANU got certificates on completing advanced training courses and received memorable gifts.
The closing ceremony program included the performance of delegation of ANU representative, the head of specialty of Institute of music, the associate professor, the famous singer Wang Lin. She sang the song in Chinese "Why do flowers become red?" and "The Song by Grisha" which reflect features of the Chinese culture. Also in the program the "Where Have You Left, Susan?" song was performed by Mikhail Solovyov, the vice rector for network cooperation and social partnership, together with Kira Solovyova . In addition, the students of Chinese Department sang the Friends song in the Chinese and Russian languages.
