Students aimed to get acquainted with the educational system, history and culture of Poland, communicate and exchange experiences with colleagues, and, of course, practice their Polish language.

During the school students visited historical, philological, pedagogical and theological faculties of Adam Mickiewicz University, participated in lectures and seminars, got to know Polish culture and traditions.

At the Faculty of History, our participants met Polish students who are studying Russian and whose level of Russian was very high. It was nice to know that so many people are interested in Russian language and culture.

The city of Poznan is not the most typical Polish city, both in terms of history and architecture, and in terms of number of universities and students from all over the world. The city has 6 large universities and students are 20% of the city population!

Adam Mickiewicz University authorities and scientific and pedagogical staff organized a very hearty welcome for our students, introducing them not only to educational and social life of the university but of the city as well.
Apart from studying, our students managed to visit the Imperial Castle, which provides stunning views of the city; the Church of the Virgin Mary; the medieval square Old Market; Tumsky Island and took part in a master-class on cooking the famous St. Martin bagel.

Participation in the summer school was very informative and culturally rich, full of new emotions, impressions and acquaintances. The city of Poznan and Adam Mickiewicz University are wonderful places of scientific inspiration and real modern research platforms.

We hope that our cooperation with this university will be continued and we’ll be very happy to welcome guests from Poland in Minin university!
