During the meeting participants discussed various issues and paid special attention to the quality of education, living conditions in university dormitories and involvement of foreign students in universities’ cultural and social activities. Also, students and the First Secretary discussed internship programs and possibilities of establishing a university association of students from Uzbekistan.
From the Uzbek side the meeting was attended by Mr. Razakov Azizbek Hayitovich, representative of the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the head of the Uzbek diaspora in Nizhny Novgorod.
Minin university foreign students Bakhodir Khurrozov and Islamboy Tursunov (2nd year students, major “Russian as a foreign language”), as well as Ms. Marina Aksenova, deputy head of the International Education and Cooperation department, took part in the meeting.

43 students from Uzbekistan study at Minin University. 22 of them are full-time students. The most popular majors among Uzbek students are Russian as a Foreign Language, Russian Language and Literature, Law and others.
