Minin University is a proactive participant of the state project aimed at modernizing pedagogical education in the country. So far Minin University has worked out and implemented a unique bachelor programme to prepare specialists to work with people with special needs. Even though the country has several prominent teaching schools and prepares a number of high-qualified specialists annualy, Russia faces lack of those professionals able to work with the disabled. This is the major problem the program solves. Moreover, it opens broader career opportunities for a variety of majors and increases chances for academic mobility as it is organized within a module principle.
The program has already been implemented and tested by four leading universities of Russia. It is supposed to become a basis for special needs education in the whole country.
