The organizers of this event were the embassy of Chinese People's Republic in the Russian Federation, consulate general of the People's Republic of China in Kazan, the administration of Nizhny Novgorod.
The Nizhny Novgorod delegation included representatives of the city administration, Nizhny Novgorod businessmen, representatives of higher educational institutions of Nizhny Novgorod and the region. The Chinese delegation included China's ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary in Russia Mr. Li Huei, consul general of the People's Republic of China in Kazan Wu Yingqin, a delegation from the sister city of Nizhny Novgorod - Jinan, China, representatives of Chinese companies and educational institutions.
Apart from the political and economic topics, the meeting discussed the development of collaboration between Nizhny Novgorod and Chinese universities, the expansion of scientific cooperation and academic exchanges.
