The event was held from May, 14th to 16th, in Moscow within the context of priority project ‘The Development of Export Potential of the Russian Educational System’ developed by the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia and united more than 100 universities and recruitment agencies from Russia, Europe, Asia, Africa, North America and Latin America, i.e. the countries that are interested in cooperation. It was the third time Minin University had taken part in this conference.

The aim of Minin University participation is to learn more about the work of universities with foreign students as well as represent Minin University and find partners both in Russia and abroad.

The second Forum ‘BRICS HigherEd Cooperation FORUM’ took place within the frame work of this conference. Delegations from Russia, China, India, Ecuador and other countries discussed the topics connected with higher education development, the problem of teachers’ and students’ academic mobility, alongside with this agreed on further steps of cooperation within bringing to life joint educational programmes.         

In addition to this, some educational seminars took place during this conference devoted to the following topics ‘Effective Tools of Accepting Foreign Students’, open sessions and presentations on the questions of higher education export from leading experts of The Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, the Centre of Education Development and International  Activity’ (‘Intereducation’) and the university representatives of Thailand, Belorussia, Belgium and other countries.

The head of Minin University International Partnership and Academic Mobility Centre Tatiana Lebedeva held approximately 40 meetings with the representatives of universities and recruitment agencies from Ecuador, Hungary, Belgium, Cyprus, PRCh, Uganda, Thailand, Iraque, Belorussia and other countries.

For instance, the representatives of Ecuador university are interested in summer schools for their students. Minin University has already had successful experience in organizing a similar summer school for Anhui State Pedagogical University students. The representatives of Belorussian universities and Minin University discussed qualification upgrading courses for teachers, joint research and evaluation activity, as well as conferences.

The delegation from the Hungarian Széchenyi István University came up with suggesting free of charge education in compliance with Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship. The university is ready to admit Minin University students. This scholarship gives students a wonderful opportunity to get education both in Hungarian and English languages (bachelor’s, master’s degrees, inclusive education – probation period, postgraduate courses).

Recruitment agencies from Brazil, Ecuador, Cyprus, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Gana, Uganda and other countries confirmed their readiness to enroll foreign students for universities from Russia and CIS.

The IUNC Eurasia 2018 international conference devoted to international education development is interesting not only in connection with the fact that it gives opportunities to build strong business relationships with foreign universities, but also gives a chance to discuss development perspectives and share experience with leading universities of Russia.
