On October 18, the jury has announced the results of the All-Russian competition for teachers of the German language that took place within the All-Russian educational online conference "Open the world through teaching German".
Ekaterina Midova (Minin university senior teacher, Department of Foreign Language Professional Communication) took the first place in the nomination "Support for future and young teachers of the German language". Participants of this category are university teachers who train future school teachers.

During the final presentation Ekaterina Midova told the audience about the usage of cooperative writing techniques at full-time and distance lessons of German. The jury of the competition together with Heike Uhlig, head of the Goethe Institute in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, appreciated the high level and practical orientation of the participants' works, and also emphasized the special significance of the nomination, in which Ekaterina Midova won. The jury mentioned the fundamental role of pedagogical universities in professional training of future teachers of German.

The All-Russian competition for teachers of German is organized every two years by The Goethe Institute. In 2020, the competition became a part of the All-Russian educational online conference "Open the world through teaching German" that was a part of the Year of Germany in Russia 2020/2021.

Since 2018, Ekaterina Midova has been working with students of the master degree program "Modern techniques of teaching German as a foreign language" and the bachelor degree program "English and the second foreign language (German / French / Spanish)". Moreover, Ms. Midova also coordinates cooperation between Minin university and the University of Cologne (Germany).
