Representatives of Minin University were part of the official delegation of Nizhny Novgorod region that arrived for the opening of the Nizhny Novgorod Economic, Cultural, Educational and Tourist Center in Jinan. During a series of meetings with educational organizations of Chinese cities, the Rector of Minin University Viktor Sdobnyakov reached agreements on signing memoranda between Minin University and five higher educational institutions of Shandong and Anhui provinces.
"Minin University has been cooperating with universities of China for almost 10 years in such areas as academic exchanges, double degree programs and other educational formats. Further development of partnership relations between Russia and China in the field of education is a strategic task for our states. The opportunities that we and our colleagues from Nizhny Novgorod universities have are of great interest to our Chinese partners. Now we already understand that we can offer Chinese students bachelor's and master's degree programs that will help them become even more in-demand among employers both in Russia and in China. In turn, the students of Minin University will get additional resources to immerse themselves in the language environment of the partner country," commented Victor Sdobnyakov on the preliminary results of the delegation's trip.
Such programs as teaching Russian as a foreign language and other pedagogical programs, from teaching music to child psychology and preschool education, are now in demand among Chinese students and applicants. The delegation of Minin University also visited a number of schools, where its members presented Minin University and Nizhny Novgorod, agreed on further cooperation and proposed joint work in terms of professional development of teachers of Russian as a foreign language working in Chinese schools and attracting applicants to the Preparatory Course of Minin University for adaptation and studying.
