Ms. Elena Resch, head of the Russian-German program “Studienbrücke”, represented the University Alliance Ruhr (UA Ruhr), which unites The Ruhr-University Bochum, TU Dortmund University and The University of Duisburg-Essen. Ms. Barbara Lachhein is the chairperson of the Society of Russian – German meetings (Essen) and the project manager for the EU's “European Solidarity Corps” program.
Minin University was represented by Ms. Elvira Samerkhanova (the First Vice-Rector), Ms. Marina Aksenova (Deputy Head of the International Education and Cooperation Office), Ms. Liudmila Guseva (Head of the Foreign Language Professional Communication Department), Mr. Evgenii Plisov (Head of the Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages and Linguodidactics Department) and Ms. Anastasiia Oladyshkina (head of the master's degree program "Modern technologies of teaching German as a foreign language").
During the meeting participants discussed issues of possible cooperation among university members of the UA Ruhr and Minin university: prospects for mutual teacher exchange, joint research projects, “Visiting Professor” program. At the end of the visit both parties exchanged memorable gifts.
Since 2018, Minin university has been successfully realizing a cultural and educational program in cooperation with the Society of German-Russian Meetings in Essen. This program annually provides two Russian students (major “English and German”) with an opportunity to visit Germany and work there as teachers' assistants in social work.
