Summer school for students and postgraduate students from Poland and Czech Republic "Bridge over the Volga" was given a start on August, 14. Students will have two weeks of Russian classes and sightseeing.
Students have arrived from leading European universities such as: Warsaw University, Jagiellonian University of Krakow, Charles University of Prague, University of Łódź, John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, Casimir the Great University, Pomorsk Academy, Siedlce University of Natural Sciences and Humanities. The guests were welcomed by Vice-rector for networking and social partnership Mikhail Soloviev.
The summer school slogan is "There are many bridges existing over the Volga and the Oka, but we will build a new one", which includes a significant message to the participants. Over the two-weeks' period teachers and students of the three countries are supposed to build a bridge - a bridge of friendship and love of Russian culture, literature, amd language.
The curriculum of the school includes two linguistic and two literature studies modules. What is more, students will evidently do a lot of sightseeing.
