The delegation came to familiarize with the Russian system of higher and secondary vocational education, as well as to establish partnership relations with Russian universities and colleges, including students' and teachers' exchange programs, joint long-term and short-term educational programs, training courses (including on-line) etc.
During the visit the delegation took part in international scientific and practical conference «Problems of Philology and Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages», roundtable discussions on the topics "Quality Education Issues" and "Rating Assessment in Education", met with students and teachers of Minin University. American specialists also visited the State Budget Professional Educational Institution "Semenov training college for Industry and Art ", learned about the system of secondary vocational education in Russia and the system of their graduates' employment.
Note: The Fulbright Program is the oldest and most representative of American international exchange programs in the sphere of education. Delegations of heads of American colleges come to Russia with a
two-week visit as part of the Fulbright program every year since 2010. The program gives a convincing input to turning the priority task of improving the quality of secondary education in Russia into reality.
