In the second semester of the 2020/2021 academic year, three students from the University of Messina (Italy) studied at Minin university within the virtual academic mobility program.

We have asked Italian students to share their impressions about the joint education program and Minin university and they eagerly gave us their thoughts:

Castorina Erica:

Being a student at Minin University was really great. Even though the courses were online on Zoom, due to the health emergency, I enjoyed all the 5 months of studies. Our teachers and other students made us feel an important part of the group. Everyone was very kind and helpful. I have attended the English and Russian courses, and I feel that I have improved my language skills quite a lot. I hope to visit the city of Nizhny Novgorod and Minin university one day. It was really a pleasure for me to have this unique experience during my university career!

Valeria D'angelo:

It was a real pleasure for me to get a chance to study at Minin University. I had a really good time, despite the distance and the lessons in online mode due to the Covid-pandemic. All classes were very interesting and useful. I attended the Russian and German courses and I must say that all the teachers that I worked with were very competent, patient and friendly with us. I really hope to visit your university soon and in the meantime I highly recommend everyone to choose Minin University. You will not regret it!

Giorgia Imbesi:

I participated in a joint education online program in a very particular year: that one of the COVID-19 pandemic. I didn't know if I could leave Italy and truly experience Russian culture, taste Russian cuisine, break down language barriers and travel all over Russia. And, unfortunately, it was not possible. But Minin university did everything possible to allow us to attend lessons remotely. All our professors were very kind, helpful and professional towards me and my groupmates. We worked in one group with Chinese students and teachers did their best to arrange classes so that is was convenient to all of us. Of course, it was not easy because of different time zones we were at. Nevertheless, we managed to work in harmony and smoothly. So, despite the online mode, it was still a positive and very interesting experience and I have definitely improved my Russian language skills.  Without a doubt I would recommend Minin University for its availability, professionalism and serious approach to education!
