8 students received diplomas of Minin university (Russia) and Anhui Normal University (China).
Ms. Olga Guseva, Head of the Department of International Relations of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, and Mr. Igor Zakharov, Head of the Secondary and Higher Professional Education Department of the Ministry of Education of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, attended the official ceremony.
The authorities of the Chinese partner university congratulated students via online video conference. Students received diplomas from Dr. Elena Ilaltdinova, Rector of Minin university.
«This unique dual degree program provides graduates with an opportunity to gain experience and knowledge of the Chinese language and culture. This is a great educational and cultural project. Our students spent 2 years in China. Our congratulations to all the graduates! Now you can continue your path in two major professional and cultural areas where you can realize your potential and talent. We are grateful to the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod region. This is a difficult path that our colleagues, who implemented this program, have completed. We think that next year there will be 10 graduates of this program. We’re going to develop the dual degree program and we are really glad that there are so many people interested in it.».
In 2014 the Nizhny Novgorod region and the Anhui province established interregional cooperation in the Volga-Yangtze format. Last year Nizhny Novgorod and the city of Hefei, the administrative center of Anhui province, became twin cities for the development of trade and tourism.

The best results we see in the sphere of education. Today we congratulate 8 graduates of the program realized by Minin university and Anhui Normal University. I am sure that knowledge and experience gained during this period will be useful in future development of our interaction with China. Export of education plays a significant role nowadays.».
Notes:
The double degree program has been realized since 2015. At Minin university students from China undergo their studies at the Faculty of Humanities. Russian participants study at Anhui Normal University at the Institute of International Education. The double degree program enables graduates who have successfully completed the program at Minin university receive a diploma of the partner university - Anhui Normal University (China). Such education significantly increases the chances of graduates to be in demand in the labor market and / or to continue their education in a master's degree program abroad.
