Mikhailova Ekaterina,a second year student (speciality “Psychology and Pedagogics in preschool education”), during the period of self-isolation starting with 1 April conducted food delivery for Leninskiy district every day Her work was highly appreciated by the Social security Board for elderly and disabled people of Leninskiy district. She was awarded by recognition letter as well.

In March the campaign was launched to give hot meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) to elderly people and disabled citizens. We were given 56 sets every day. This campaign lasted 80 days. Ekaterina helped us to deliver meals every day since early morning. Besides, we launched the program «Make a food gift». Ekaterina makes food sets delivers them and makes reports.

Ekaterina’s selflessness and dignity has been noticed not only by staff of our organization but also by the citizens of our district whom she helped to overcome the hardships of self isolation.I consider that it is not only her personal qualities but also the efforts of your pedagogical staff that contributed to her achievements , as the pedagogical staff of the University manages to develop in students such important qualities as compassion and care for elderly and disabled people. You gave support and assisted in performing an important necessary task.

Volunteering is a unique experience with interesting people, with other volunteers – people who share your view. I am going to help people in future as well, take part in all possible voluntary projects I would like to try everything!
Now I am a member of several volunteering organizations: "Volunteers of the Victory", "We are together", " Nizhny Novgorod volunteering service", "The city volunteers center". There are other students of Minin University among these volunteers .That’s great!
I take part in events, organized by Minin University. The examples of such events are Doors Open Day, contest "I am a professional". I am a member of student association "The league of inclusive people "of the Faculty of Psychology and Pedagogics. We work with disabled people and children with special needs. I train my communicative skills thanks to such events.
I am studying pedagogy now but I would like to get a certificate of a paramedic or a massage therapist as well.
