September, 15 – a UNO expert on environmental protection started a lecture course on environmental problems for Minin University students within the international cooperation agreement of Environmental Education and Rational Nature Management department. The lecturer’s name is Elena Kreizberg who is an environmental protection biologist of Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (Ottawa department).
The first lectures were devoted to the topics of “Environmental protection in Canada” and “Landscape ecology in modern world”. The next series of lectures was held on September, 22. The themes of the lectures were: “Climate change and biodiversity”, “Eco-tourism in Canada”.
Veb-translations of the lectures were available for senior secondary school pupils and members of Ecology Teachers Association of Nizhny Novgorod.
